Content Takedown Policy

Welcome to the Content Takedown Policy of Custody Letter. Our commitment is to respect intellectual property rights and comply with applicable copyright laws. We recognize the need to protect the legal rights of copyright holders and are dedicated to facilitating a process for the removal of infringing content. Should you discover your copyrighted work on our website without permission, we encourage you to reach out to us for its prompt removal.

Notification of Infringement

To initiate a content takedown request, copyright holders or their authorized agents are required to send a formal notification of alleged infringement. This notice should be detailed and sent via email to dmca@custodyletter.com. The submission must include sufficient information to allow us to identify and locate the material in question, a statement claiming ownership of the copyright, and a declaration under penalty of perjury that the information provided is accurate.

Procedure for Handling Notices

Upon receipt of a bona fide infringement notification, our team will take swift action in accordance with copyright laws. This includes a review of the submitted claim, followed by the removal or disabling of access to the content in question. It is our policy to also notify the party responsible for posting the said content, allowing them an opportunity to contest the claim or provide evidence of legal rights to use the material.

Counter-Notification

If an individual or entity believes that their content has been mistakenly removed, they may submit a counter-notification. This must include their contact information, identification of the removed content and its prior location on the site, a statement under penalty of perjury that the content was removed due to a misunderstanding or misidentification, and consent to the jurisdiction of their local federal court.

Repeat Infringer Policy

In adherence to copyright law, Custody Letter operates under a repeat infringer policy. This policy asserts that we will terminate the access of users who are found to repeatedly infringe on the copyrights of others. Though our site does not feature a registering function, we remain vigilant in our efforts to ensure that infringing material does not find a home on our platform.

Disclaimer

It is important to understand that Custody Letter does not act as an arbiter of disputes. Our role is limited to facilitating compliance with the legal process. We advise those involved in disputes to seek the resolution through the appropriate legal channels.
